In order to create a space that’s functional, inspiring and on-budget, the design process must be collaborative, creative and detail-driven. There may be bumps in the road that arise, but the overall design/remodel/build experience should not be painful.

To help make the design experience positive and the final product amazing, I have built my business on these fundamentals:

Partnership
I help people achieve a space that fits their needs and style. I do not take over a project, make the homeowners go away, and have a big reveal of the space at the end. That’s best suited for TV. Instead, I help educate people about their design choices and guide them to realize their vision. People I work with call me a “design coach” because I support them through the design process with their contractor.

Practical
I help people figure out the functionality and feel of a space within their budget. My services are affordable to make good design attainable. Typical homes are not reflective of catalog covers or viral Instagram posts, especially when kids, pets, messes and day-to-day life are in the picture. But a well-designed space should make daily routines easier and provide a sense of comfort and pride.

Personal
I take time to really get to know the people I work with. I want to know their history, routines, preferences and goals. The space we design together will help improve daily functions and reflect their personality. I always ask clients: How do you want to feel in your space?

Professional
The design experience must include honesty, constant communication, detail management, and creative collaboration. My process and tools will help create a positive experience and an exceptional space.
